What's Beem?
Beem is the most fair and transparent platform for video creators. On Beem, communities and creators connect around their shared passions and watch their favorite content together in a premium live video experience. Beem provides a unique stage to host a movie or documentary screening, broadcast a premiere or a festival, stream a live concert or even teach a masterclass. Creators can finally monetize their passion in a radically fair and transparent environment while raising funds for causes or nonprofits close to their hearts!
We are building the first social network for premium video with a strong focus on content diversity, creator empowerment and community development. Our business partnerships and licensing agreements with Major Studios and independent distributors allow us to offer an ever-growing catalog of movies and documentaries, ranging from the latest new releases to popular or niche classics.
What's a cowatch?
A cowatch is the new way to watch videos, movies and documentaries together! 🍿
Appear on camera with your friends and guests, and interact with other participants via chat while controlling the synchronized movie playback for everyone 🤓
It’s the perfect setting to showcase your favorite content and share a unique live experience with your guests and audience 🤩
A cowatch is also a great environment to raise awareness and raise funds for a cause that is close to your heart 🤗
How can I make money on Beem?
You can earn a fair and transparent revenue on Beem by organizing paid live events, using your own content or content from our catalog. As an event organizer, you can earn up to 85% of the ticket price.
If you're a video creator, content owner or producer, you can upload your content in our secure servers and earn at least 50% of all transactions happening on your content.
We're soon going to launch wallets for everyone, allowing people to earn a small percentage of every transaction they made possible by sharing a content or an event to their network or acting as an agent for other creators.

Account & payment

How do I create an account?
At the login page, select your favorite way of registering: with your email, your crypto wallet for a passwordless login, or in one click using your Facebook, Google, Apple or Amazon account. Beem is not available for children under 18 years old at registration date, so we will first ask you to validate your age, then just follow the process, and you’ll be able to cowatch your favorite movie with the people you love in no time!
I have an account, but can't remember my password
Click on ‘Forgot password’ on the login page and you will be taken through to steps to reset your password.
How do I attend a live event?
If the event is free, you just have to click on the yellow button "Attend for free" button to reserve your place. You'll immediately get a confirmation dialog as well as receive a confirmation email. At the indicated time, just click on the "Join event" button (the same yellow one), and you'll be in the event in no time.
If the event has a cost, click on the yellow button "Attend for $XX" then enter your payment method and confirm your payment. Once your payment has been accepted, you'll receive a confirmation dialog as well as a confirmation email. At the indicated time, just click on the "Join event" button (the same yellow one), and you'll be in the event in no time.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All customer payment info is submitted securely to our payment processor, Stripe, using the most stringent, PCI Level 1 compliant security protocols. We do not store any sensitive customer credit card details. While hosted at Stripe, all card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
You can add or delete your payment methods when buying a new ticket or making a donation.
How do you handle my personal information?
Beem is fully compliant with GDPR. We do not share your personal information with any third party without your explicit consent. You can learn more about how Beem handles personal data in our privacy policy.
How do I change the language?
Beem is currently available in English and French. We're working hard to make it available in other languages soon, starting by Spanish.
You can modify your interface language as well as the content language by clicking on the icon with the two letters [ EN ] or [ FR ] in the top menu of our website watchbeem.com then selecting your preferred language.
I can't pay for an event
Please make sure you have entered the correct credit card information, including your billing address and postal code. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). If the problem persists, please contact us.
I didn't get a confirmation email
Please check your spam. If the event button displays “Join event”, you have your ticket and you can participate in the cowatch. If your button says “Attend …”, the transaction did not work and you must try again.
If you have been charged on your card, but the button still says “Attend …”, please first check that you are logged in with the account with which you made the transaction.
If it does and the button does not say “Join event”, our team will be happy to help you resolve this issue.

Live event issues

What devices are supported?
Beem works directly on all major desktop browsers, but we recommend Chrome for a seamless experience. Participants can also join the event using our iOS and Android apps (look for "Beem cowatch" in the app stores), and can cast the main video directly to their TV using Airplay and Chromecast.
I can't enter the event
If the event button displays “Join event”, you have your ticket and you can participate in the cowatch. The button will activate at the start of the event.
If your button says “Attend …”, please first check that you are logged in to Beem with the account with which you reserved your ticket and refresh the page.
If the button still says “Attend …”, the transaction did not work and you must try again. If you have been charged on your card, but the button still says “Attend …”, our team will be happy to help you resolve this issue.
"I'm watching this content elsewhere"
Please wait 2 minutes and refresh the page.
The video playback is not smooth
We use adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent, or if you have several wifi enabled devices connected simultaneously, you may experience problems during playback. If you’re on wifi, try moving closer to your router. You may also try connecting directly to your router via an ethernet cable.
The video isn't playing
First of all, refresh the page:
• CTRL + R on PC
• COMMAND + R on Mac
If the video is still not playing, please open a new window in incognito mode (private browsing):
• Mac: COMMAND + SHIFT + N
• Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + N
If the experience is still not optimal, repeat the operation on a different browser.
Restarting your device can also fix most of the video issues (it frees up some precious memory 👌)
If the problem persists, please contact our team.
PS: you can also check the quality of your connection, keeping in mind that corporate networks may also contain restrictions on video streaming. If you are not in incognito mode, also make sure to turn off ad-blockers and other browser extensions that might disrupt the playback of the video file.
Also check that the autoplay is not disabled (if you see a small cross in the URL bar, you can click on it and enable the autoplay), then refresh the page.
Last tip: use a personal device rather than a professional computer that might have restrictions and other firewalls installed on it.
I can't see or hear the presenters
First of all, refresh the page:

If you still can’t see or hear the presenters, please open a new window in incognito mode (private browsing):
• Mac: COMMAND + SHIFT + N
• Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + N
